comic

I've been working on the current comic project a bit. I've based mine on the story of the youtube sensation of fenton the dog chasing some deer in richmond park.
Here is my first full page comic:

I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would which is always good!

Lithography

I've finished my set of 5 lithography workshops now, and really enjoyed them. Oddly enough the best print from the workshop was one i spent least time on

i did 7 or 8 prints of it, the image is about A3 size printed onto A2 paper.
the main thing with it is just how long it takes to get the plate ready to print. I found the prints came out so nicely though so i hope to do more of it very soon in my own time. I have also signed up for a series of etching workshops, which will fill my schedule up again i expect!

GIF work

We had our big hand in last week, and actually sort of had a week off, which sort of turned out to be a week of sorting out the studio and getting the work up and ready for our mini exhibition. It was actually very worth while spending my time off doing it as i learnt a lot about what putting on a show and curating the work together involves.
My final piece for the last project was some GIF images that i created. In retrospect i wish i had done more research to start with as it was only really the final one i did that really worked. here is the link to our class' GIF work: http://factloops.blogspot.com/  there are some amazing ones on there.
For our new project we have a choice of two quite different briefs, one is to work with 2nd year graphics to develop an online TV programme, and the other is to work with some of the guys from Nobrow (http://www.nobrow.net/) to create a comic. I wasn't dead set on either really as I don't really work in either way, however I have chosen to go for the comic brief, as it will allow me to do more drawing, and it will be interesting and useful to learn about comics and the workings of them.
