I created this image as a response to a Baudrillard quote that i read on New York, '‘It isn’t
clouds that are fleecy here, but brains. Clouds float over the city like
cerebral hemispheres driven by the wind’.

dissertation/personal project inspiration
Most of my thoughts at the moment have originated from looking through this book of old photographs of New york
Here's a drawing I did of some people playing softball in the park
Thinking about America, and my enjoyment in looking at these sorts of images, I have sort of been led along the path of hyperreality, more so in travel than art at the moment. I've been reading a couple of books by Baudrillard and Umberto Eco and been doing some thinking about that and how to shape it into my project proposal; so I'm going to try and work out some imagery over the next couple of days to start my presentation.
litho
I did a couple of days of lithography printing the other week but only one of them really came out. I'm just practicing really, as I haven't done it in a while and want to prepare for spending sometime doing it next year, and making some prints for the exhibition 'bi' we're having next month.

comic
I finished my comic a couple of days ok. Here are the 5 pages in black and white,
It's going to be printed on the riso, in the next couple of weeks, with all of the groups put into an anthology of them. I'm having mine printed in black, blue and yellow, with green appearing as the mixed colour. So hopefully it will look a little clearer with the colour separations. But basically it follows the story of Fenton the dog, as a follow on from the youtube video sensation of him chasing deer in richmond park. I'm kind of anxious to see whether it comes out ok on the riso as i've got quite a lot of tonal areas which I'm unsure of whether it will come out, but we'll see I guess.

fact and fiction show
We put on an exhibition a month ago or so of our work for the first term. It was good to see everyone's work together which is somewhat a rarity. I never got round to properly photographing the drawings I did, I only ever remember when it's dark. So all I have to show for it are these crappy iphone photos at the moment...

practice comics
Here are some really quick short comics that I made for the initials tasks of the comic project. Based around the youtube video of the dog fenton chasing some deer in richmond park.
